DESCRIPTION
This 44m design for Nautor Swan was first announced in March. It signifies the launch of Swan’s 40m+ alloy range, which has been introduced in collaboration with Edmiston. The design partners performance with comfort, and elegance with modernity.
Designed by MMYD, 118 combines performance, comfort, and innovation with elegance and modernity. Our studio’s expertise will see the boundaries of performance pushed, while retaining the timeless beauty and tradition for which Swan yachts are renowned, and ensuring the authenticity of the Swan experience for new and existing owners.
The alloy sailing yachts will honor Nautor Swan’s iconic aesthetic while incorporating cutting-edge solutions for sustainability such as hydrogeneration and other eco-friendly technologies already employed by Sanlorenzo, parent brand of Swan, including methanol and hydrogen.
“I have sailed on many of the early Swan yachts and even competed for the Sardinia Cup aboard a Swan 44. It is a brand I have long admired and I am delighted to have been selected by them to take their name into the larger sailing superyacht sector and support them in their move to alloy constuction.” – Malcolm McKeon
Bruce Brakenhoff will be the primary contact at Edmiston for this exciting new project, with Edmiston’s office in Newport, Rhode Island serving as the operational hub for the promotion and sales activities of this new range.
